WW2 Winter Wear

When it came down to it the US army was quite limited when it came to the cold weather in particularly within the European theatre. Other than adding any extra layers they could find the more visible changed were the addition of the long wool great coat, wool scarfs and wool hat. As many veterans will attest (particularly those who fought in Bastogne) this weren’t exactly adequate but were certainly glad to have them than not.
