This for us is one of the most important parts of the costume process. A costume is simply various items of clothing until a breakdown team works their magic and breaths life into it. A costume needs to feel lived in and convey history and experience through the screen. It’s the messiest Job in the department but someone has to do it! So you might as well pick us.

We offer every stage of breakdown from simple wear and tear to full battle damage with tears, mud, blood, sweat and tears. We can provide multiples of costumes and even break them down to a timeline of damage from brand new to the end result if needed.

There is nothing worse than watching a production where a soldier leaves a battle in brand new clothes or a fireman runs out of a burning building cleaner than he went in. It’s all about keeping the audience engaged in believability and little details like that are a sure way to break that engagement.
